June Meeting

Our next meeting of the Connecticut Emergent Cohort will be Saturday, June 17th at 4:00 PM at the home of Nancy Butler in Glastonbury, CT. (Email me for directions.) Our conversation partner for the day is Brother James Brent, O.P. (a friend of Karen Sloan who is part of our cohort). Brother James is a Dominican Friar in formation for the priesthood at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. Br. James is currently writing a doctoral dissertation in philosophy on the relationship between faith and reason in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas. He is also knowledgeable about many of the philosophers (e.g., Alasdair MacIntyre and Michael Polanyi) who have influenced emergent leaders like Brian McLaren. We will talk with him about faith and reason and how philosophy impacts life and faith.
Please email me with any questions.

Peace,
